I want to share my journey with you, a long journey and certainly a continuing journey of my path to wellness. I suffer from GERD brought on by stress and this is my story. I learned how to change my diet, exercise 6 days per week and de-stress my work environment so that I could heal. One doctor told me “whatever you are doing, keep doing it because I can’t really fix this with surgery. You must be the only patient I have ever had that really listened to me. My hope for you is to get off the meds permanently, but only you can do this. I can’t help you with that. Who knows what the long term effects of PPIs Proton Pump Inhibitors really are?” And that was it. I decided to find a way to get off the meds and stay off the meds by diet, exercise and de-stressing my life.
